What is a TIKI Conference? Well… it is a Technology, Innovation, Knowledge and Ideas Conference. Of course it is likely obvious the real purpose of another acronym is to inject a theme into the conference. I hope it is something we can have a little fun with. Dress is business casual and there will be no limbo contests, but I suppose a loud Hawaiian shirt is optional for the Wednesday evening dinner.
This year the opportunity to discuss relevant topics and learn from those who do what we do at other educational institutions has been expanded. Based on feedback from previous IAICU events it is clear that attendees generally agree we learn the most when we talk to each other about what really works and what does not.
We have included more than three hours of round tables and panel discussions. Of course breaks and meals are always a great time to get to know one another and have one on one or smaller group discussions. We will also be asking that many of you and your staff signup to participate in five minute Speed Preso* presentations. What is a Speed Preso? In short, you tell us about your success in five minutes or less, but take a look at Ken Clipperton’s definition lower on this page. Excellent idea Ken! I believe everyone will find these sessions, informative, interesting and fun.
